The SL2000 high-speed data acquisition ScopeCorder has been announced by Yokogawa. It is designed for prototyping test and complements the company’s benchtop DL950 ScopeCorder.
The modular SL2000 is designed to capture fast signal transients and long-term trends in R&D, validation, and troubleshooting in automotive, aerospace, marine and rail applications as well as data centres, energy generation and storage and robotics systems.
It can be used for durability and reliability testing of components and vehicles that requires high sampling rates and multi-channel simultaneous measurement of analogue signals and in-vehicle bus signals, such as CAN and CAN FD.
It can also be used for simultaneous measurement and evaluation of temperature, vibration, and other mechanical signals that change relatively slowly. It is also suitable for mechatronic and other high-speed control signals as well as electrical analysis and control signal evaluation.
The ScopeCorder has dual capture to perform multi-channel measurements over long periods of time at up to 200Msamples per second, while analysing even the most detailed aspects of waveforms, says Yokogawa. The main unit can continue to measure where post-processing is required and can perform calculations in real time to reduce takt time.
There are eight slots (with up to 32 channels) and initially 21 input modules – more are expected to be added. These modules measure electrical signals, mechanical performance parameters indicated by sensors, and decoded vehicle serial bus signals. Up to five SL2000 and DL950 units can be synchronised to increase measurement channels.
Isolation measurement technology ensures the noise resistance required for durability testing in harsh environments.
The SL2000 is an evolution of the earlier SL1000 model, offering increased speed, streaming data rates and memory capacity.
